Do you know of this gift?
You worked hard for your accomplishments. Long days and nights, delayed meals, jumping hurdles, and fighting political battles. You got a win and kept on trucking. Then you faced yourself in the mirror and released a “Wow! So glad everything fell into place!” Everything meaning what came through that you wanted but did not expect. And you patted yourself on your back; even though you did not know what you did to turn around your situation. You were just so glad it all came together!
As a leader, have you thought about the Grace of God working for you, not only at home but also at work? Do you even know or understand the Grace of God? Simply put, it is the unmerited favor that God grants to us.
What are some other examples of God’s Grace to a leader at work?
- You received favor from a colleague which you know you did not deserve but was kind enough to pass it on to you.
- You did something unwise and risky which could have resulted in an unpleasant outcome to your project or business, but that outcome did not materialize as you escaped by the skin of your teeth … and a pounding heart.
- You received a choice assignment, project, or promotion because you happened to be in the right place at the right time and had the right sponsor.
What’s common in each situation? You were awarded an outcome for which some would say you were lucky. They would be wrong. God was graceful to you.
My experience supports the fact that God’s Grace comes in different forms to propel your success as a leader. What is important and beneficial to you, is that you recognize it and give Him thanks and praise for it; because you did not deserve it. However, acknowledging Him opens up so much more blessings to you.
